FAQ Friday: What does a Realtor do?
The reality of the situation is that whether this is your first time buying or selling or your 15th, the path to your end goal is not always a smooth one. A Realtor is a necessary asset to YOUR team. Having an experienced Realtor ensures that you have someone who is working solely in your best interest. It’s important that have someone you can fully rely on to guide you through the sometimes bumpy road to securing your dream home.
Your Realtors job does not end once you have found the perfect house. That’s when the real work begins. In the competitive market we are currently experiencing it is more important than ever to have someone who not only has a keen knowledge on market values to ensure you’re pricing is appropriately on point but can get also creative in fighting to get your offer noticed. Sometimes people underestimate the number of parties involved in a single transaction as well as the number of deadlines that must be met in order to protect your interests. Between the other Realtor, financial lenders, inspectors, sellers, and more it’s important to have someone who can communicate effectively on your behalf and work together with the whole team to bring the transaction to a seamless close.
It’s also your realtors job to effectively communicate and educate you on the entire process from start to finish. You should never feel lost in the process as your Realtor will be there to answer any questions, negotiate on your behalf, and look out for you and only you throughout the process.
