“This home is a 1964 standard raised ranch home rooted in a New England suburb. Our client has slowly renovated this home from the 60 themes to a trendy transnational style. The kitchen and baths are the last areas they are renovating. The kitchen still has the builder-grade cabinetry, which is sturdy but outdated, with old lighting and appliances.
I am looking to renovate the whole kitchen by upgrading the fluorescent lighting, appliances, cabinets, countertops, flooring, and exterior doors. I also wanted to make the pathways flow through the home and room, giving this family ample room to move about more freely. We will start by adding wood flooring, which has been used in joining rooms. The cabinets will be updated to a transitional style with white and navy colors. These colors are modern yet traditional and very classic to Connecticut.
In this plan, I have added windows and enlarged the exterior door to French doors leading to an in-ground pool and patio. I have also brought the ceiling up to a vault and took out a far wall of the kitchen opening the room up making it much brighter and larger.”
