As Realtor it is my job to get the best deal for my client. No matter whether if you are selling or buying. But we as Americans have to wake up to what is happening. Washington says they want to help low income people to be able to afford a home. But there are things that the politicians want that will absolutely destroy the housing market. And here is what it is. If you work your butt off, pay your bills get your credit scores up to about 720 and 20% down now they (the government) want to penalize you an extra 1% added to your mortgage. Those that have worse credit scores (about 610 or below) and about 5% down they want to give them a 1.5 % credit OFF of their mortgage rates. Tell your politicians to vote against this . If anyone remembers the debacle that was 2008 in housing this will be worse. Not only for those that pay their bills and get scores up but for those that purchase homes with lower scores that wouldn't normally qualify for a mortgage. You will see most of THESE people get in trouble and end up having their homes go into foreclosure and bankruptcy.
