Joseph was born and raised in Southampton and attended the Southampton Schools. He was very active in his school, a Varsity Tennis Player in 9th Grade, and one of the best players on Long Island. Finishing school, he attended Rollins College in Florida and majore

d in Economics, Math and Business. Joseph is the third generation of his family to join the Hamptons real estate business. He represents a large clientele of buyers, sellers and renters from all over the world. He is an accomplished agent, with numerous sales and rentals from New York to Montauk in all price ranges. As a Top Monthly Producer every year with The Corcoran Group, he achieved sales in excess of $25 million in his first three months at the firm and was named Corcoran’s Top New Agent in 2007, in addition to being awarded Rookie of the Year. He was also a member of Corcoran’s Multimillion Dollar Club and one of the firm’s top rental agents in all of the Hamptons. Currently Joseph works primarily in the Hamptons however splits his time between New York City and the Hamptons. His extensive knowledge of the Hamptons, and his aggressive and pro-active approach to international marketing and advertising continue his success. Prior to his foray into residential real estate, DeCristofaro was an advertising sales executive for a variety of media publications including Hamptons Magazine, Hamptons Cottages and Gardens and Plum TV, increasing sales revenue exponentially for the latter. Among his many other entrepreneurial accomplishments, he founded and served as publisher and editor of Aspen Country Magazine and Manhattan Style, launched Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, and structured Avenue magazine’s advertising and redesign. He also spearheaded Country Magazine as publisher and editor, working with such notables companies as Ralph Lauren, David Yurman and Chanel, just to name a select few.
