Real Estate Tip of the Week: Keep Your Cards Close to the Vest
Buying or selling a home is exciting, but what you share publicly can have a bigger impact than you think.
Before closing day, avoid posting details about:
-The home you're buying
- Your moving timeline
- How you're financing the purchase
- Just how much you LOVE the house
Why? Because information is leverage.
The seller, buyer, agents, neighbors, or even friends of the other party may see those posts. Sharing too much can weaken your negotiating position, impact repair requests, influence pricing discussions, or create unnecessary complications before the deal is finalized.
The truth is, not every transaction is smooth sailing. Until the documents are signed and recorded, it's best to keep the details private and let your agent do the negotiating behind the scenes.
Protect your position. Protect your investment. Celebrate when the keys are officially in hand.
