What a packed Third Quarter Membership Meeting! 🏡✨

Today, MCRAR members gathered for association and MLS updates, committee reports, advocacy news, and a look ahead at our 2027 Boards of Directors.

We were also excited to welcome Sheila Knight, NC REALTORS® Economic Development Committee Board Member, as our guest speaker, along with several special guests joining us for the afternoon.

Of course, we had to add a little fun too! Our RPAC Dessert Dash brought some friendly competition to the room, and a few lucky members walked away with 2027 REALTOR® dues and MLS fee prizes. 🍰🎟️

Thank you to Steven Myers with Southern First Bank for sponsoring the meeting, to our speakers and volunteers, and to everyone who joined us. We always love having our members together in one room!

A morning of MLS updates, insight, and a few familiar faces! 🏡

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our MLS Participants Meeting!

MLS President Kati Horvath kicked things off with updates from MCRMLS, followed by Hive MLS Manager Kelly Curran, who gave attendees a closer look at the processes behind Hive MLS. Hive MLS CEO Daniel Jones also joined us to break down how MLS policies and rules are developed, giving members a better understanding of what happens behind the scenes.

We were also excited to hear from our new CEO, Sheree Higgins, for the first time at an official membership gathering! 🎉

Thank you to our speakers and everyone who attended, asked questions, and helped make it a great morning. We appreciate every opportunity to keep our members informed, connected, and in the know!

Thank you to the Richmond Observer for this article! It was a pleasure to volunteer at the Richmond County Rescue Mission.

ROCKINGHAM — A group of Realtors from the Mid Carolina Regional Association of Realtors recently traded contracts and closing tables for scrapers and work gloves, spending nearly an entire day …

Yesterday, our Community Outreach Committee rolled up their sleeves and got to work at the Richmond County Rescue Mission at Place of Grace Church! 💛

And when we say we scraped paint… we mean layers upon layers of paint. Our volunteers helped prep the cafeteria walls for a fresh coat and a fresh start.

We also had the chance to learn more about the incredible resources the Richmond County Rescue Mission provides to our community, including their food pantry, clothing closet, household goods, housing assistance, vocational rehabilitation, and more.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand and learn more about an organization doing so much for our neighbors in Richmond County. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped! 🏠💛

The storm has passed, but the recovery in Western North Carolina is far from over.

Families across our state are still waiting on a safe place to call home. As REALTORS, there may be no group better positioned to help with that than us.

We're partnering with the NC Department of Commerce's RenewNC Program to connect available housing with displaced North Carolinians. If you have a short-term or long-term housing opportunity to share, please consider making it available. A roof over someone's head while they rebuild their life is one of the most meaningful things you can offer. Our neighbors need us.

Visit ncrealtors.org/housing-help-for-western-north-carolina/ to learn more and share what you have available.
