MCRAR was proud to attend the NC Realtors Legislative Meetings in Raleigh, where we had the opportunity to connect with fellow REALTORS® and meet with Representative Neal Jackson, Senator Tom McInnis, and Senator Dave Craven.

These meetings are an important reminder of the power of advocacy and the impact REALTORS® can have when we come together to support our industry, our clients, and our communities across North Carolina. 🏛️✨

Great conversations, great company, and an important mission 💛

We wrapped up Fair Housing Month with our Fair Housing Brunch, hosted by our DEI/Cultural Committee, featuring guest speaker Erica Campbell of Cross Country Mortgage. Her insights on loan programs that support first-time buyers and expand access to homeownership made for a truly impactful event.

I’m pleased to share that, in coordination with the Boards of Directors, my last day as CEO of Mid Carolina Regional Association of REALTORS® will be July 31.

This role—and this organization—have meant so much to me. It has been a true privilege to serve alongside such an engaged and passionate membership, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together.

I’m especially grateful for the strong leadership and partnership of our Association and MLS Boards of Directors over the years, as well as the trust and engagement of our membership. Most importantly, I want to recognize our incredible staff—past and present—whose dedication, professionalism, and support have made so much of our success possible.

Over the coming months, I’ll be working closely with Sheree Higgins, incoming CEO, to ensure a smooth transition. I have every confidence in the continued strength of MCRAR and its leadership.

As I look ahead, I plan to remain involved in the industry, although I’m still exploring what that next chapter will look like. I’ll be relocating to Florida as my home base, while continuing to spend time in North Carolina.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. The relationships built along the way will always mean the most.
