Home prices are soaring. But mortgage rates are still near historic lows. What if you wait for home prices to decrease, but in that time mortgage rates increase?

One of the challenges for buyers over the past 12 months has been near historic lows of inventory. Inventory still remains low, but has been slowly rising since February.

While this is still far from a balanced market, this could be an indicator that we are heading in the right direction. The months’ supply statistic tells us how long it would take for inventory to completely run out at the current sales rate.
