🏑 Foreclosure activity across North Texas is up nearly one-third compared with the same period last year.

I just reviewed the August Tarrant County foreclosure list, and it reminded me that good people face hard seasons every single day. Job loss, divorce, illness, unexpected expenses, or simply the rising cost of living can put anyone in a difficult position.

The deadline to file is May 15th.

And yes… you should still consider protesting your value even if your taxes didn’t go up.

Your assessed value today affects future years too. If your value is higher than it should be, it can continue impacting what you pay moving forward.

A lot of homeowners assume:
β€œMy taxes stayed about the same, so I’m fine.”

But what really matters is whether the county’s value is accurate compared to your home’s condition, comparable sales, and the current market.

It never hurts to review it. Worst case, nothing changes. Best case, you save money year after year.
