The deadline to file is May 15th.

And yesโ€ฆ you should still consider protesting your value even if your taxes didnโ€™t go up.

Your assessed value today affects future years too. If your value is higher than it should be, it can continue impacting what you pay moving forward.

A lot of homeowners assume:
โ€œMy taxes stayed about the same, so Iโ€™m fine.โ€

But what really matters is whether the countyโ€™s value is accurate compared to your homeโ€™s condition, comparable sales, and the current market.

It never hurts to review it. Worst case, nothing changes. Best case, you save money year after year.
