WHAT IS DRIVE FORE 5?
Drive Fore 5 is a national campaign encouraging every VGA member to help recruit new veterans, service members, or family members into the VGA.
Your outreach directly fuels:
• More tournaments
• More regional and state-level growth
• More impact for veterans and their families
• More courses, and competitive opportunities
More Than Recruitment: This Is a Call to Lead
Drive Fore 5 is more than simply bringing new members into the VGA. It is an opportunity to step up, engage, and lead within your respective communities. This initiative empowers you to raise awareness about who we are as an organization, what we stand for, and the impact we create for veterans and their families. Every conversation you have, every story you share, and every introduction you make helps strengthen the VGA’s presence at the local level, on golf courses, in veteran networks, workplaces, and communities across the state. Drive Fore 5 challenges each of us to be ambassadors of the mission, advocates for camaraderie, and leaders in growing something bigger than ourselves.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Getting involved is simple and powerful:
1. Talk to fellow veterans, coworkers, friends, and community members.
2. Share what the VGA means to you, your story matters.
3. Encourage them to register at www.vgagolf.org.
4. Have them list your Member ID Number as their referral during registration.
MEMBER ID INCENTIVE
To recognize and track your impact, we’ve introduced the Member Referral Tracking System which located in your member portal under VGA rankings leaderboard.
New members will enter the active member's VGA ID information: example below
“Referred By Member ID #: __________” during the application process
This allows us to:
• Recognize top members nationwide
• Strengthen regional and state competition
• Track real grassroots impact from local leaders
• Build a culture of ownership, pride, and engagement
Your Member ID is now a tool to drive real change.
RECRUITER RECOGNITION
Members who complete the Drive Fore 5 campaign may receive:
• State-level member spotlights via social media
• End-of-season recognition at the State Championship
Your influence matters, and it deserves to be seen.

IMPORTANT Campaign DISCLAIMER – “Drive Fore 5”
i. A member will receive five (5) points for every new member referred who becomes an active VGA member and remains a member through the end of the season. The new member must enter the referring member’s Member ID Number during the registration process.
ii. Prior inactive members are not eligible to be counted as a “new” member referral.
iii. If a new member cancels their membership before the end of the season, the referring member will lose the five (5) points awarded for that referral.
