A great day with Compass Connecticut. 🤍

Today’s Agent Advantage Expo & Vendor Showcase brought us together at our Westport office for a day of learning, connection and collaboration.

I was grateful to sit on a panel alongside some of my fellow top agents from across Connecticut, sharing what’s working in our businesses and learning from one another.

Between our incredible vendors and sponsors, insights from Compass leadership and coaching, and time spent with colleagues from across the state, I left feeling especially grateful for where I work and the people I get to work alongside.

I notice the finishes. I just don’t start there.

When I walk into a home, I’m looking at the things that are harder to stage or replace: whether the original character was preserved, if there is a clear history of care, how natural light moves through the rooms, whether the exterior has been maintained, and if the floor plan truly works for everyday life.

Those details often tell me more than a newly renovated kitchen ever could.

For buyers, they help distinguish a home that simply photographs well from one that will live well. For sellers, they shape what we highlight, where preparation matters, and how we position the home’s value.

After more than 15 years in Fairfield County real estate, these are a few of the green flags I notice immediately.

Six things I love about 98 Banks Place…although narrowing it down to six was nearly impossible.

It’s the old-house soul paired with a beautifully reimagined interior. The craftsmanship and architectural details you keep noticing as you move through the house. Rooms that feel grand, but never too grand to actually live in. More than five acres tucked into Southport Village. And a pool and pool house that make summer at home pretty hard to beat.

There’s a warmth to this house that you simply can’t manufacture. It has history and character, but it lives beautifully for today.

It’s no question why 98 Banks Place drew immediate attention and multiple offers within days of hitting the market.

Two months in, it feels less like an announcement and more like the right time to finally share this chapter.

After nearly 13 incredible years with William Raveis, I joined Compass this summer. It was a meaningful move for me, and one I made with my clients, my business, and the next stage of growth very much in mind.

What has stayed exactly the same is the part that matters most to me: the relationships, the local knowledge, and the personal, one-on-one service I’ve built my business around.

What has changed is what I’m able to bring to that experience, with broader resources, an expanded platform, technology, and a network that gives me even more ways to support my clients.

I’m grateful for where I’ve been, excited about where I am, and very much looking forward to what’s ahead.

This sweet couple is officially making the move from Hartford County to Fairfield, and the Lake Mohegan area gets to be home.

Some things are meant to be. Glen Ridge was only the second house we saw together. We moved on, lost out on another home, and somehow this one was still here when we came back to it.

Sometimes the right home isn’t about what it is today. It’s about seeing what it could become.

My buyers had been searching for years with another Realtoe, competing for homes and coming up short. After taking a break from the market, 85 Eastlawn came along — a home with potential, in a neighborhood they already knew they wanted to call home, and they called me.

This was a meaningful one.

71 Newton Street was my clients’ first home; the home where they started their family and brought their babies home. Even after moving to Fairfield, they held onto it, rented it, and we stayed in conversation for more than five years about when the right time might be to sell.

When that time came, we were very intentional about how we brought it to market. We refreshed the interior with new paint, gave the laundry area a glow-up, updated the kitchen with quartz countertops and a timeless backsplash, changed out light fixtures, brought in professional staging, and gave the exterior the same attention with refreshed landscaping and thoughtful touches around the garage to make the property feel polished from the moment buyers arrived. Even the kids helped, making the preparation a true family project from start to finish.

The final sale price of $529,000 — $50,000 over asking — translated to approximately $392 per above-grade square foot. That was not just a strong result; it materially outperformed the comparable market, selling approximately 23% above the median price per square foot. 3 Up Comparison3767.pdf

There is something very full-circle about preparing the home where your family began for the next family who gets to call it home.
