Interesting chart. No one could afford a house in 1981 it was horrible, but if you could afford one then, and held onto it.... The average home price in USA in 1981 was $60,575 now the average price is $425,145 So not a bad return. Remember housing is a long term investment.

So from February to March days on market are down. From 52 days to only 36 days on market. Median home prices are up. But price per sq.ft is down. Small rise of inventory which is usual for this time of the year. Just like the stock market, mortgage rates are on a up down up down chaos. seems like daily, but you can lock in a rate when you're ready.
