If you are looking to move to Reno, NV, here are a few things you should know.

We get all season here. Sometimes we get them more than once.

We have wild horses, so be careful when you are driving.

There is always something going on, but things sell out fast, so look at event calendars. It's never fun to find out your favorite musician or comedian is in town, but tickets are sold out.

Don't believe everything you hear. These are some common myths I have heard. What are some you have heard about?

I have learned so many lessons through buying and selling 13 of my own homes, but none more valuable than knowing who you partner with makes all the difference.

The real estate agent you partner with can make the buying and selling process a great or horrible experience, so choose wisely.

The second thing I learned was to see past what is in front of you. You must be able to see what something can be, not only what it is. Things can be cleaned, changed, or simply removed.

The third is to be prepared. Suppose you are not ready to move when you come across a deal or your dream. You can lose out on it. Prepare by getting preapproved and removing anything that would prevent you from buying or selling today.

There are many benefits of living in Reno, NV.

The entertainment here is wonderful. The casinos are always bringing great singers, comedians, and shows in.

We have seasonal events such as the hot air balloons, Hot August Nights, and the rib cook-off.

We get all four seasons which all come with wonderful scenery. For example, the Sierra Nevada mountain range is beautiful in the winter and summer.

Compared to California, no commute is very long here.

There are so many wonderful restaurants to try in Reno.

The list goes on and on.
