🏡🚨 BUYERS… PLEASE DON’T MAKE THIS MISTAKE! 🚨🏡

You found the house. ❤️
Your offer was accepted. 🎉
You’re officially UNDER CONTRACT!

So naturally, you start thinking about everything your new home needs…

And then you see it: the perfect new living room furniture. 🛋️

🚫 PUT. THE. CREDIT. CARD. DOWN. 😂

One of the biggest mistakes a home buyer can make while going through the mortgage process is opening new credit or making a large purchase before closing.

That means now is probably NOT the time to:

❌ Finance new furniture
❌ Buy a new car
❌ Open a new credit card
❌ Run up existing credit cards
❌ Make any major financial moves without talking to your lender first

Why? Because changes to your credit, monthly debt, or finances can potentially affect your mortgage approval—even after you’ve already been pre-approved.

The new couch will still be there after closing. 😉

🔑 My rule for buyers: From pre-approval until you have the keys in your hand, talk to your lender BEFORE making any significant financial changes.

Buying a home has enough moving pieces. Let’s not let a new sectional become the reason things get complicated at the finish line! 😂🏡

Apparently, the secret is to start thinking, talking AND acting like you’re blessed. So here I am… doing my part! 🙋‍♀️😂

Grateful for the good days, the crazy days, the people who make me laugh, the lessons I didn’t exactly ask for 😜, and yes… even the coffee (or wine 🍷) that gets me through some of it. ☕

Life certainly isn’t perfect, but there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. Sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find it.

So today I’m choosing to count my blessings instead of my problems… although I reserve the right to complain a LITTLE. 😂❤️

That thing you’re stressing about today? Chances are, a few months from now you’ll look back and wonder why you worried so much. 😊

I loved this one because sometimes we all need the reminder that it’s okay to rest.

Not every day has to be productive. Not every problem has to be solved today. And you certainly don’t have to have everything figured out all at once.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, recharge, and wait for the storm to pass. ☔️❤️

Even butterflies know when it’s time to take a break…and I think they may be onto something! 😉🦋

So if this week has felt a little heavy, give yourself some grace. Rest when you need to. Your wings will still be there when the sun comes back out. ☀️
