I survived the listing, sale and closing of this property. It challenged everything in me. It stretched me and grew me. I pulled on just about every resource that I had. Advice from other agents, calls for help to my amazing BIC, calls for help from a couple attorneys, multiple contractor relationships helped me by doing work in advance and waiting until closing to be paid. Multiple conversations with the appraiser who had to go out 3 times. Loan gets rejected by USDA after being at USDA for 5 days. This is 3 days after we are supposed to close. LO saves the day by converting to FHA with a second loan for the 3.5% down...in one week. My poor client has been packed in a U-HAUL for over a week, sleeping on a pallet on the floor. I have to find movers twice, last minute, both times. Lender and I have to go in together to get client a hotel. We sign 3 extensions. And today after a 3 1/2 hour long closing....with two huge separate loan packages that needed to be signed by a blind buyer....it is done. And honestly. I came home and got in bed for an hour to decompress. LOL But I sold this property for $20k more than I listed it for. It was an absolute emotional roller coaster for my seller, but he was the most grateful, thankful appreciative person throughout the whole process and this was our 4th transaction together over the years. I'm so thankful to have been able to help him through his final SC sale so he can move back to be with his family in Pennsylvania. Thanks to the many many people who helped make this one possible. I've been so busy that I hadn't made time to make this post! This lovely home closed last week and I am thrilled for my sellers. They had already relocated out of state due to a job promotion and I was able to manage everything concerning the sale for them.
