Involved with land development in the Black Hills area since 1996, I helped manage and operate B&H Excavation, a heavy equipment construction business. We have had part in building various Black Hills subdivisions including Whitewood Forest Acres II, Eagle Ridge, Country Club Estates, Boulder Estates, Twin Parks and Paradise Acres. We are also heavily involved in the Ag sector, building stock dams
for ranches in western South Dakota. My area of real estate experience includes: residential, farm and ranch, and some commercial. I live on a century family farm in Butte County, owned by the Lewis family since 1906, where my husband and I have raised our 3 sons. Agriculture is a big part of my background as well as being self-employed. This region of South Dakota demands that a person be well rounded to meet the needs of the consumer interested in buying property whether a home, farm/ranch, land for development or business. I enjoy educating the consumer about buying or selling real estate, as this can be a real learning experience for the Buyer or Seller. There are some hidden things that the consumer doesn’t always think about. There definite do’s and don’ts. Is it priced competitively? Does Zillow really work? How can I understand the paperwork? When do these things need to be done? Who is going to do them? How much should I pay for this? How much can I afford? How do I find a lender? Can I buy furniture for my new house? (NO it will goof up your credit score, Wait till after closing!!)
