FREE Radon Test Kits Available for Rural Iowans!
Did you know Iowa has the highest average indoor radon levels in the nation? Approximately 70% of Iowa homes test above the EPA action level, making radon a serious health concern for families across the state. Northwest Iowa is among the areas with the highest radon levels, which is why testing your home is so important.
Join Clay County Public Health to learn about the FREE Radon Test Kit Program for Rural Iowans, how to test your home, understand your results, and learn what resources may be available if elevated radon levels are found.

Participants must be homeowners; the program is not available to renters, businesses, or commercial properties.
This program is made possible through a partnership between Clay County Public Health, Marion County Public Health, Iowa Health and Human Services (Iowa HHS), and Iowa Rural Health Transformation to help rural Iowa residents reduce radon exposure and create healthier homes.
