What do we do when it’s too windy to put the Halloween decorations outside? We blow them up in the kitchen. Lol. And then it’s on to yoga class. Little Carter is teaching me the poses. She’s better than me at 4. I’m in trouble.

Tears are flowing down my face right now. I am the oldest of 7 children. Alcohol has killed and will continue to kill members of my family. If only I had understood this when I was young. Hindsight is always 20/20 as they say. I wish I could go back, but I can’t. Get rid of alcohol out of your house if not for yourself, then for your children and grandchildren. At 67 I can plainly see the past and truly fear for the future. Don’t fool yourself that this won’t happen to your family, that it is controlled, that it will not hurt or kill anyone. Alcohol issues are genetic. We need to stop passing it down through the generations.

This is how you really respond to meanness. Kindness wins every time. And always remember if someone gets you to give them any of your time and energy trying to get even then they automatically won. Our time is always our most precious gift. Don’t give it to someone who doesn’t deserve it.

Broke my mother out of the nursing home today for a pedicure at Cute Nails. They did a wonderful job. Look at the ladies comparing their crosses. And their little girls chair is adorable and I will be back with my granddaughters. Fun times!

Happy 84th Birthday to my Mom. Broke her out of the nursing home. Girls Lunch at Val’s was fun. 4 generations.
