Congratulations are in order for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Laffey International Realty agents Lisa Lavelle and Nancy Cuite, plus CEO Emmett Laffey, for completing the record-breaking sale of Billy Joel’s estate. The 26-acre “Middlesea” recently sold for $28.75 million—and with the sale of “The Gate House” for $7 million in May 2025, this puts the total compound sales figure at $35.75 million—the highest price recorded for a Long Island estate.
