Construction is moving quickly at The Perch comfort station, overlooking Hole 9 and the Pedernales River.
 
Timber elements are coming together, systems are being roughed in, foundation waterproofing is underway, and the first stone masonry is beginning to define the building’s character.
 
Designed by Denton House Design Studio The Perch will overlook the 9th hole of the David McLay Kidd-designed course, bringing natural materials and the surrounding landscape into the experience.
 
More to come as The Perch continues to rise above the cliffs.

A beautiful morning on the course for Yoga on the Greens. Members enjoyed a rejuvenating class led by Bonfire Yoga Studio on our event green, with views overlooking Hole 9. A great way to slow down, reset and enjoy the setting at Loraloma.

A new home for all things golf at Loraloma. ⛳️ Our new Golf Shop officially opened over Labor Day Weekend, giving members a fresh new space to shop, grab a bite, and get ready for their next round while the Golf House takes shape.

Stocked with Loraloma-branded favorites and a grab-and-go room, there’s plenty to explore. And this weekend? We’ll be stocked and ready to cheer on the Longhorns. 🤘

The story of Limestone Springs swimming hole begins with the land itself. Drawing inspiration from iconic Texas swimming holes, our designers envisioned a place that feels discovered rather than built—developed from an existing cattle tank and designed around the natural flow of water through the site. The future swimming hole will connect the reflecting pond, waterfall, swimming hole and fly-fishing streams, creating a unique water experience woven into the landscape.

With construction now underway on this one-of-a-kind Loraloma amenity, there’s never been a better time to schedule a tour and explore the vision taking shape across Loraloma.

Loraloma is proud to celebrate an exciting new chapter for our Agronomy team.

After helping lead Loraloma from construction and grow-in through the opening of the course and into daily operations, Christian Canafax, Assistant Superintendent, has accepted the opportunity to become Director of Agronomy at Cordillera Ranch. While we’re sad to see Christian leave Loraloma, we couldn’t be more excited for him and this well-deserved next step. Cordillera is gaining an exceptional agronomist and leader.

We’re equally excited to announce the promotion of Jess Luther from Assistant Superintendent to Golf Course Superintendent at Loraloma. Jess will take on an expanded leadership role overseeing the daily ex*****on, supervision and quality control of golf course maintenance and operations.

The success of Loraloma’s course is a testament to the leadership, dedication, attention to detail and relentless work of our Agronomy team, led by Senior Director of Agronomy Stewart Naugler. Stewart, Christian and Jess have been building this team and this culture since the course was in construction, carrying it through grow-in, opening and beyond.

We’re proud to celebrate their accomplishments, invest in our team, and continue building the next generation of golf course leadership at Loraloma. Congratulations, Christian and Jess. We’re proud to have you both as part of the Loraloma story.

Behind the scenes of Loraloma’s summer maintenance on the golf course. Our agronomy team has been hard at work completing extensive aerification, verticutting, topdressing, drainage improvements, and turf work across the course. These important practices are designed to strengthen turf health, improve consistency, and set the stage for the firm, fast-playing conditions Loraloma is known for.
 
With the majority of the intensive work now complete, the focus shifts to recovery, refinement and preparing the course for reopening. We’re encouraged by the progress and look forward to welcoming members back to a healthier, stronger and even better Loraloma.

The Perch continues to take shape. Now transitioning from framing into architectural definition, the structure is beginning to reveal the comfort station’s character with exterior elevations, exposed timber, porch details, and interior spaces coming together.
 
Perched above the dramatic cliffs of the Pedernales at Hole 9, The Perch will offer members a place to gather over morning coffee, enjoy elevated grab-and-go fare, recharge between rounds, and take in some of the most spectacular views on the David McLay Kidd-designed course.
 
Every milestone brings us closer to welcoming members to this signature gathering place.
