Manito Park Holiday Lights
While Manito Park is known for its flower gardens, people can still tour the park in the winter and look at Manito Park's holiday lights. Visitors can look at lights by a drive-through (available Dec. 9 through 10 at 6:30-9:30 p.m.) or a walking tour (available Dec. 11 through 20 at 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.) through the park. Organized by Friends of Manito, the route starts at the Park Bench Cafe, winds through the Rose Garden and finishes on 21st Avenue.
North Pole Cruise
Experience the magical journey to the North Pole on a lake cruise on Coeur d' Alene Lake, where visitors visit Santa and his elves. The cruise takes a tour to view over 1.5 million holiday lights. People can buy tickets on the official CDA Cruises website.
Northwest Winterfest
People can tour the illuminated display of authentically crafted lighted lanterns at the Northwest Winterfest. It is indoors and self-guided. Not only do visitors get to see the unique displays, but there is also live cultural entertainment, kid's activities, food, soft drinks, and hot beverages. Kids 10 and under get in free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. People can purchase their tickets online.
Coeur d'Alene Boardwalk
Those looking for a free Christmas experience should check out the Coeur d'Alene boardwalk. Known as the longest floating boardwalk in the world, the Coeur d'Alene Resort dazzles it with Christmas lights and decorations during the holiday season.
Winter Glow Spectacular
Winter Glow is a free holiday light display open to the public. Located in Liberty Lake, they are open from Nov. 18 to Jan. 1. Their mission is to light up the community during the winter holidays, keeping it free for everyone to enjoy.
