Happy Veterans Day!

FUN fact: Veteran’s Day coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. Major hostilities of Word War I were formally ended at the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. The United States also originally observed Armistice Day, and then evolved into the current Veterans Day holiday in 1954.

To all those who serve and have served - thank you for your sacrifice.

So excited for my clients on getting under contract for this beautiful piece of property in North Kitsap County. This 10 acre lot went pending minutes before we could submit our initial offer, but instead of losing hope I encouraged them to put in a solid backup offer. Land deals require a lot of due diligence on the buyer’s part and tend to have a better chance of falling through. We bet right and were ready to swoop in. Not even 1 day under contract and we have the first phase of our feasibility walk throughs happening today! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for my clients that all their future build dreams are possible and come-in at a reasonable price. 🤞🙏

Couldn’t be more thrilled for this military family! The Tumanengs are homeowners! 🏡

They did everything right and asked lots of questions. We started the process of pre-approval well in advance of our actual house tours because we wanted to be clear on what their BAH in this area could do. Jeff and his busted some myths they heard about competing with VA loans and got them all set up!

They did their own research on the areas they liked and asked for lots of feedback on particular neighborhoods. That was all before we set foot on the ground and when I say “foot on the ground” I mean, military house hunting style - all virtual tours - because they are stationed overseas.

We weren’t due to start our house tours for another month (due to timing of orders), but as it happens with military families, orders moved up.

It felt very serendipitous because one of the homes I sent them, that was just a part of the “keep an eye on the market” listings, really caught their attention and so we reevaluated their order’s timing. Timing-wise it was a go! So we went after it.

There were multiple offers on the table and we won out.

If you are military stationed overseas, the team you use (realtor and lender) makes a big difference! If you’re wondering if closing times have to be extended longer because of being overseas, the answer is NO. We closed on time (30 days) with a couple holidays in the mix!

She’s coming back to Everett! The state’s official tall ship, Lady Washington, is visiting the Port of Everett from May 24 thru June 1. You can find the full-scale reproduction of a 1750s sailing ship at the Port’s South Guest Dock 1, adjacent to Anthony’s Home Port restaurant, 1726 W. Marine View Drive.

Come down and take a self-guided tour of Lady Washington on May 25 between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 27-29. Or sign up for an adventure sail on May 27-29 at 2 p.m. or May 25-29 at 5 p.m. to get a taste of life on the sea in the 18th century. The dockside tour is free and lasts about 30 minutes; tickets are available for purchase for the two-hour sailing trip.
