Home sweet home! 🌻

This story is one many families can relate to. As parents age, priorities shift. There’s a deep desire to make sure they’re cared for, supported, and close enough to share in everyday life. With hearts focused on honoring and serving, this local couple purchased a home for their loved ones so they can do just that.

During one of our showings, the wife shared a verse that continues to comes to mind when thinking back:
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.” — Exodus 20:12

In a world that can sometimes feel heavy, it’s a gift to witness quiet acts of love like this happening in our community. We’re so thankful to have been trusted in such a meaningful season of life.

This one moved fast!

About a month ago, we got a text asking if we were free to show homes the next day. Of course, we said yes! Over the next five days, we toured just about every home in the area that fit their criteria, and by day five, we were under contract and cruising toward closing. (This wasn’t their first rodeo!)

This 4 bed, 2 bath Shadle home checked so many boxes and has incredible potential for customization and equity building - this couple is already dreaming about remodeling possibilities that will transform the space to add value and better serve the home’s current use.

One of the coolest things about our job is being an active, yet somewhat blind, participant in what God is doing in other people’s lives. We get to walk with others through one of the most transitional chapters of their story, and it is such a blessing to watch it unfold.

This sweet family was not in a hurry when we first met to discuss the homebuying process, though they were crystal clear on what they needed in a home. When we started looking at houses, they simply wanted to “get their feet wet.” Then, after just a few showings, they found their dream home. Believe it or not, even in this somewhat slower market, we had to compete against another offer. A clean and competitive offer, a reliable lender, and solid communication with the listing agent allowed them to get their offer accepted and secure this home. (Thank you .with.hailey !)

Watching them walk through the house after closing was such a joy - little man already playing, discovering all the nooks and crannies to hide in (including the fridge!), and beginning to imagine their already full lives in this new space. We know this home will be well loved, and the memories made here will be priceless.

✨ Happy New Year ✨
After a fall full of house projects from replacing older siding and windows, exterior trim, re-framing and patching a few spots on walls, a full exterior clean and repaint, installing a mini split, and repainting the living room after all the patchwork—we rolled straight into the holiday season. 😅

Now… we’re soaking up this quieter month.

We’re helping a few buyers (including ourselves 👀)—details to come. We’re loving land showings in rain, snow or shine. Getting a little stroll or hike through the woods as part of a workday never gets old!

The dogs are thriving with their daily walks, long naps, drives with the fam, and spending quality time in the garage gym chewing on wood while Rachel works out 😂. Also, little Annie turned 7 this month! Time flies.

Lots of cozy meals, curling up with a good book or show (currently watching the newest season of Jack Ryan), and just really appreciating this season of life.

Here’s to simple joys and whatever this year has in store. We hope you are all staying warm and finding peace during this slower season. 🤍

There’s something heartwarming in every transaction, like helping this sweet family find the place they’ll grow into. 🤍

They found us online while looking for a Realtor who *wouldn’t* be salesy or pushy, but someone who would truly honor this season of life: busy work schedules, everyday life, and a precious little one in tow. From day one, they knew exactly what they wanted and did most of the legwork themselves. From saving diligently for their down payment and closing costs, researching neighborhoods they loved, and dialing in the details that mattered most to them, they were ready to start shopping.

They’ve been an absolute treat to work with. Rachel is already missing holding their sweet baby during showings. 💛

We’re officially through inspection and awaiting appraisal. Even better, we were able to negotiate a price cut in this winter market - proof that this is a great time for buyers who are looking for options, negotiating power, and solid opportunities with plenty of inventory.

So excited for what’s ahead for this family and grateful to be a small part of their journey to find the perfect home.

Last weekend, we hosted our first client appreciation event, and our hearts couldn’t be warmer. When we work with buyers and sellers, we chat almost every day for months—sometimes even a full year. Naturally, friendships form.

Helping folks buy or sell is just the beginning. We’ve been blessed to celebrate baby showers, meet firstborns, watch kids grow up in their homes, settle into new towns, and walk alongside clients in later seasons of life when it’s time to downsize. Your trust in us is one of the greatest honors of what we do.

This event was our small way of saying thank you—not just for choosing us as your agents, but for supporting our small, local business. As 1099 contractors, we don’t earn a paycheck unless we’re actively helping families, and your support is what allows us to do the work we love.

We offered complimentary mini photo sessions with a local photographer, and even though it poured rain the entire time, our clients had the best attitudes and made the sweetest memories in the rain.

Oh, how we love the smell of fresh coffee and happy homebuyers in the morning! ☕🏡

From the day we toured to closing day was less than 3 weeks — such a quick and smooth timeline. These two knew their goals, stayed on the same page with each other, and communicated clearly every step of the way.

Keeping a positive, easy working relationship with everyone involved (including the listing agent) helped the process move right along.

And one of the biggest wins? They landed their home for just under 10% off the asking price 🙌

We can’t believe it’s August already! ☀️

This summer’s been full of the little things we love most—garden time, home projects (Dev’s basically a window-installing pro now), sprouting all the things, a housewarming party for a sweet couple we worked with, and plenty of walks, runs, pool time, and fetch with the girls. Homemade pizza nights are still going strong… and we discovered leftover taco meat makes an unexpectedly perfect topping. 👌

As always we are keeping an eye on the market for our clients - rates even dipped a little yesterday! Hope you’re all soaking up these summer days, too.😊
