My Grandpa Gant was an unique man. He graduated early from high school after his step dad passed away to farm full time once he turned 16. I would guess that is just short of 100 years on this earth he spent less than 100 nights away from the family farm. He knew hard work, that land, how to make $1 and save $2. Rest easy, you earned it.
