We use outside data as well as our portfolio performance to determine comps and provide benchmarks for success. We prepare your home to maximize your short-term rental income on your Spokane, WA property— from pre-listing consultation and photos to dynamic pricing, guest communication, cleaning and property maintenance. Our full-service packages are flexible, to fit the varying needs of property owners. We treat every home under management as if it were our own. Our commission-based management fee structure provides reassurance for our clients that we are working to earn their business, and we firmly believe that our success is measured by yours. To the members of our community who have experienced insurable losses from the Old Trails Fire, many of you have been contacting us for the fire incident number that your insurance carriers are requesting.

We understand that many of you are frustrated and looking for updates on evacuation levels, particularly when they will be reduced.

Please know that evacuation decisions are made by the Incident Management Team based on current fire conditions, ongoing hazards, and damage assessments. Because those decisions are made by the Incident Management Team, we are unable to provide information or timelines beyond what they have officially released.

We appreciate your patience and understand how difficult this situation is for those waiting to return home. As soon as the Incident Management Team releases updated evacuation information, it will be shared through their official communication channels.

While much of Spokane is focused on the flames, we're focused on the people.

Today, Columbia Protection officers are assisting with property closures, helping businesses secure their facilities, and supporting the safe evacuation of those in affected areas.

In times like these, security is about more than protecting buildings. It's about protecting lives, helping people stay calm, and being there when our community needs us most.

If your business, apartment community, or organization needs assistance with evacuations, access control, perimeter security, or protecting vacant properties during this wildfire, we're standing by to help.

Like many local lodging providers, Anchor Hospitality Co. is currently at capacity and, at this time, we unfortunately do not have available homes for families displaced by the fires.

We know many of you are desperately searching for a resources, so we’ve put together a list that may help:

🏠 Emergency Shelter
• The Spokane Convention Center is currently serving as an evacuation shelter for many displaced residents.

🐶 Pets
• Small animals can be taken to the Spokane County Fairgrounds for temporary shelter. Or contact HEART of Spokane (Humane Evacuation Animal Rescue Team) HEART Spokane

📲 Fire & Evacuation Information
• Download the Watch Duty app for real-time fire maps and evacuation updates.
• Sign up for Alert Spokane to receive official emergency notifications if you’re in or near affected areas at Spokane county.gov

❤️ Need More Help?
The American Red Cross can assist with:
• Shelter
• Meals
• Medications
• Emotional support
• Recovery resources
Even if you don’t need a place to sleep, you’re welcome to visit a shelter for assistance.

Regulations in Spokane are real, active, and changing. Here's what to know.

Most short-term rentals in the city require a business license and a short-term rental permit. Properties must meet basic health and safety requirements — smoke detectors, CO detectors, egress windows, and occupancy limits that are posted and followed.

Platforms like Airbnb now collect lodging tax automatically in many markets, but it's still the owner's responsibility to understand their local obligations.

Start with who's managing it, not just what it looks like.

Beautiful photos are easy to produce. Consistent, professional management is harder to fake. Look for properties with detailed, specific reviews that mention the host or management team by name. Look for fast, clear communication when you ask a question before booking.

Check that the listing is honest about what it includes and what it doesn't. A listing that mentions limitations, parking quirks, stairs, noise from a nearby street, is more trustworthy than one that sounds perfect.

And when something feels off in the communication before you book, trust that.
