"That's the bank robber who wrote a book," whispered middle school students as I walked into their school today.

Others rushed up to greet me, eager to know if I had copies of my book!

The last time I visited this school was before my book's release. This time, thanks to those who purchased the hard copy from my website, I was able to provide free paperback copies to every student who wanted one.

The excitement in the air was electric!

During our session, I shared strategies from my book, "Unleashing Your Own Potential: The Self-Leadership Journey from Rock Bottom to Prosperity (And Beyond)."

We engaged in a dynamic Q&A, where the students asked insightful questions about my journey—from being raised in poverty and an abusive home, being kicked out at seventeen, adopting a victim mentality, making poor choices, turning to crime, being pursued by the FBI, getting captured and imprisoned, to eventually transforming my life and dedicating the last twenty-five years to becoming the best man I can be.

My story resonated deeply with them, sparking their interest in how they, too, can unleash their own potential.

The book aims to open hearts and minds, proving that no matter how dire your circumstances, you have the power to create your dream life.

The Best Real Estate Agents Are Like Ducks…

The real estate market has seen some ups and downs lately, and even with the craziness of our recent merger with Epique Realty, our agents have never lost sight of what matters most: creating amazing experiences for clients as they navigate the complex world of buying or selling a home. Cambria and I feel honored to support these talented agents from behind the scenes.

Some people think being a real estate agent is easy – unlock a few doors, write a contract, and rake in the commission, right? Wrong!

This is a tricky business – 63% of agents quit in their first year, and almost 9 out of 10 leave before year three.

The best agents are like ducks. Above the water, they are calm and graceful, but below the surface, they are paddling like crazy!

Cambria and I love our work and the people we serve.

Cambria often fields calls from agents late into the night and early in the morning, seeking support as they advocate for their clients.

Kiaya Henry: Our daughter Kiaya was warned we would not give her special treatment. We are happy to say she has risen to the challenge, working incredibly hard and earning the respect of her peers.

Emily Maximus: Another dynamic young agent, Emily's drive and grace are impressive. She is another powerhouse in our group, exuding grace and a passion for mentoring her peers early in her career.

I discovered the incredible power of gratitude in prison, of all places!

It was my last year there, and the prison psychologist couldn’t help but ask, “Henry, how can you be happier in here than most folks are on the outside?”

Let me take you back to the beginning, right after the FBI caught me in 1998.

My story, which I delve into in my book “Unleashing Your Own Potential,” starts with a rough childhood.

Abandoned by my dad, growing up in a cult, enduring physical and sexual abuse, and fending for myself from 17 – it’s all there.

A brush with the law led me to a crooked probation officer, pushing me over the edge.

That’s when I turned to bank robbing, eventually getting nabbed by the FBI in San Diego.

But prison was where everything changed. I realized I didn’t want a criminal’s life.

Surrounded by others stuck in a victim mindset, I decided it was time to change mine.

So, I read over 700 books, took every class available, completed my GED, and took every college course available through the prison.

During my first year in prison, I faced federal sentencing.

I’d been captured after my 10th bank robbery. The minimum guideline was 78 months per bank robbery, totaling a staggering 55 years (with good behavior)

But I struck a deal – four counts for full cooperation, leaving my fate in the hands of the judge.

When the judge announced my sentence to be served concurrently, I was overwhelmed with relief and gratitude.

The Judge agreed with the prosecutor, and allowed for only four counts, to be served simultaneously, rather than back to back.

I vowed to make the most of this second chance. In prison, I worked on becoming the best version of myself.

I share more about this transformation in my book.

The prison psychologist’s comment was a testament to my success in consistently focusing on gratitude.

After prison, my journey of growth led me to study Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s concept of "flow" and Dr. Shawn Achor’s research on happiness.

insights helped shape my understanding of success and happiness.

With guidance from Tony Robbins and his coach, Dr. Chloe Madanes, I kept evolving, learning about success, happiness, and fulfillment.

Writing my book was a journey in itself, filled with ups and downs.

It’s not just about my path from rock-bottom to prosperity; it’s about the resilience and strategies needed to bounce back even stronger from the eventual setbacks that any life journey will incur.

I’m touched that over 2,400 people have pre-ordered my book!

Next week, the books will be shipped from the printer, then I’ll be signing each copy, numbered according to the order it was purchased in.

🚗 The minute "the redhead" got her new car, she was all set for a big adventure…

A road trip across the state, over the Canadian border to Vancouver, then hopping on a ferry to Vancouver Island.

That's ten hours just to see her sister, Mady, who's studying International Business at Vancouver Island University. 🌎

"Dad, I just got a week off. I wanna go see Mady. Is that irresponsible?" she asked me.

So, we chatted. I tossed her a few questions to ponder on, not to lecture, but to help her figure things out herself. 🤔

Seeing her excitement to visit Mady warmed my heart.

Cambria and I are so proud of the close bond our girls share.

It reminds me of those days when I'd tell them, "You've got a treasure in each other, never forget that." 💖

People often ask, "How did you raise such amazing daughters?"

Well, here's the thing: we weren't their buddies during their childhood.

Our job was to guide them to be smart, respectful, independent thinkers, and positive contributors to society. 🌟

Cambria and I set high standards - for ourselves and our girls.

Sure, there were times they weren't thrilled with us. "But other families are different," they'd argue.

I'd respond, "Does their lifestyle match ours? Our travels, our focus on growth and health, our dedication to helping others?" 🌍

This high bar now fuels their solidarity as sisters. They have each other's backs, always.

Nowadays, I see something called "gentle parenting."

I see parents today negotiating with their kids:

“Johnny, do you want to come to the table for dinner?” Or,

“Sally, do you think it’s time for bed?”

I can't help but think, "Really?" 🤷‍♂️

Back when are kids were young, breakfast was at 7 AM sharp. No questions asked.

We TOLD them what our expectations where, we didn’t ask for their approval or negotiate with them.

I think many parents might be trying to be friends with their young children, rather than giving them the guidance, consistency, standards and discipline that kids need.

My daughters tell me that most of their peers who were parented like that are now “entitled monsters!”

Teenage years were tough for Cambria and I.

Our girls, naturally pushed boundaries, often compared their lives to their more leniently-parented peers.

It wasn't always easy for them, or for us.

I remember telling them once, "Our job is to ensure you're fed, clothed, and educated. Anything beyond that is a bonus, not a given. We’re focused on raising thriving young adults, and to do so, we will instill in you the those kinds of values.”

That conversation stuck with them.

We focused on gratitude, teaching them to appreciate even the smallest things.

We taught them to have integrity with their word, meaning doing what they said they were going to do, doing it WHEN they said they would do it by, and in the manner in which it should be done… Period.

Doing this, they have developed a reputation for dependability -and also a healthy self-respect!

Now, they're so thankful for everything, making them a delight to be around. 🌈

We weren't their friends back then; we were parents.

But now, as adults, they're our best friends. 🌷

The journey was tough but oh so rewarding.

Raising three daughters had been biggest blessing of my life. 💕

✈️ Headed to an Ayahuasca Journey in the Desert 🌵

These next four days, I will be venturing deep into the heart of the Arizona Sonora desert to partake in a transformative Ayahuasca experience.

Ayahuasca has been described as a powerful encounter with the self, a profound shedding of layers, and a symbolic death of the ego.

While the prospect may seem daunting to some, I am embarking on this soul-stirring expedition with an open heart and a resolute spirit, eager to explore the depths of my being and emerge anew.

🌿 For me, this journey represents an opportunity to delve into the depths of my consciousness, to confront the shadows within, and to embrace a profound sense of interconnectedness with my heart.

My motivation for undertaking this profound experience extends beyond personal growth; it is rooted in my unwavering commitment to guide others on their paths toward happiness, fulfillment, and success.

Through this journey, I aim to cultivate an even deeper sense of empathy, compassion, and understanding.

I believe that by shedding the layers of my own ego, I can step into a more authentic and present version of myself, better equipped to support and guide others in their own healing and self-discovery.
