The 3-3-3 Rule for Dogs

3 Days – Decompression
Your dog is likely feeling overwhelmed, unsure, and possibly scared.
They may sleep a lot, hide, refuse food, or seem shut down.
They’re trying to process this huge change.
Give them space, keep things calm, and avoid overwhelming them with too much too soon.

3 Weeks – Settling In
Your dog is starting to feel more comfortable.
Their personality begins to show.
They might start testing boundaries (like chewing or ignoring rules).
Routine and gentle training become important here.

3 Months – Trust Bonding
By now, your dog feels like part of the family.
They’ve learned your routine and built trust.
Training and behavior work starts to stick.
You’ll see a stronger bond and better communication.
