Spooner Housing Authority is looking for a part-time 25 a week maintenance worker. Monday-Friday 9am-2pm.
Summery: Performs custodial/janitorial and light maintenance work, which involves the maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment. All maintenance work is to be accomplished in accordance with the Washburn County Housing Authority’s Policies and Procedures.
Responsible to maintain all aspects of properties, including, but not limited to: grounds, sidewalks, driveways, common areas, exterior and interior of residential and common buildings, and all mechanical and electrical equipment.
Routine maintenance and repairs include but are not limited to: caulking, minor electrical, unplug sinks and toilets, change toilet wax rings, faucet repair and replacement, wall prep/patching, and minor appliance repair.
Assist in the preparation of units for re-rental.
Maintain grounds throughout seasonal changes: lawn care, landscaping and snow/ice removal.
Responsible to assist with inspections, including, but not limited to: move-in, move-out, annual, heating & mechanical, buildings & grounds, and preventative maintenance inspections as needed.
Responsible for filling out daily, weekly, monthly paperwork.
THIS IS A VERY PHYSICAL JOB. Maintenance is on his/her feet for most of the shift. Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly. Maintenance communicates with the Director, staff and a variety of tenants daily.
Maintenance is expected to be on-call for weekend/after hour emergency repairs.
