🍎Regardless of economic status, River Valley provides students an opportunity to take home food for the weekend, free of charge, via the Weekend Backpack Program.

👏This absolutely would not be possible without the help of Ray & Kris Porter and the Arena Food Pantry. Each week they put together bags of food for more than 60 students in the district whose families have opted to receive these "Weekend Backpacks".

🎒The bags include an assortment of fresh fruit, canned foods, microwave meals, and ready-to-eat foods like granola bars & cereal. Bags are discreetly placed in student backpacks or lockers to take home.

📫 Our first annual fund drive to provide financial assistance to families experiencing food insecurity in our area runs through November. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to:

Whether you a first time home buyer or a looking to sell your current home and buy/build a new home figuring out how much house you can afford should be a priority. How do calculate how much you can afford?

How much income do you make each month?
Monthly debt payments?
Monthly bills and expenses? (Groceries, cell phone, gas, etc...)

A good rule of thumb to try to remember is your mortgage payment should be around 28% or less of your monthly income. (Example: Monthly income: $3,200.00. Take $3,200.00x0.28=$896.00).

Fundraising and supporting local services are so important. This year let's support the Women's shelters in our area. I have listed a few of them below. Donate to whichever one you would like to. Homecoming in the valley is always a fun time. So much time is put into making it is what it is. Thankful to still have the fair and my kiddos took home a few ribbons. 💕
