Sooo, this was unexpected!
Somewhere between showings, inspections, contracts, negotiations, open houses, phone calls, texts, emails and everything else that comes with real estate, I completely forgot to campaign for myself 🤣
I found out I had been nominated WELL AFTER voting had already started and completely dropped the ball on ever making a post about it.
This was the first year Commercial Real Estate Agent was its own category and I had no idea I was on the ballot for that one AT ALL.
To learn that I am the Silver Winner in 2026 Hernando Sun Readers' Choice Awards for both Residential and Commercial Real Estate Agent was incredibly surprising, especially considering the incredible group of agents who were nominated alongside me.
While I am extremely thankful, truth is, awards are not something I chase. They are appreciated but my focus has always been on taking care of my clients, protecting their interests and helping them navigate what is often one of the biggest decisions of their lives. I love handing over keys, helping sellers move on to their next chapter and being part of some of life's biggest milestones. Real estate has a way of throwing unexpected challenges into the mix and helping my clients navigate and overcome those obstacles to reach the finish line is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
The fact that so many people thought enough of me to cast a vote anyway means a lot.
To every client who trusted me, every friend who referred me, every person who has supported my business over the years and every family member who has helped me fix an AC, pressure wash a home, paint a garage floor or tackle any of the other countless jobs I've tasked you with (looking at you, Rob and Noah), THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
I truly appreciate every one of you and excited for all the families I still get to help in the years ahead!!!
