We originally connected as Marching band parents, never knowing that years later, I would have the honor of helping this family say goodbye to a home that held almost two decades of their lives.

Saddle Way was so much more than an address. It was where they raised their son and watched him grow into the young man he is today. It was countless pool parties surrounded by friends and family, a backyard filled with laughter and long summer days that probably never seemed quite as special in the moment as they do now.

It was also the quieter memories. Cool evenings spent relaxing by the fire, just the two of them. Ordinary nights that became part of the life they built together. Birthdays, holidays, celebrations and all of the little moments in between happened within those walls.

How do you pack up nearly twenty years of memories and simply close the door?

🇨🇦 From “O Canada”

🇺🇸 To “O say can you see"

THEY MADE IT TO FLORIDA!!

I don't even know where to begin with this closing.

For months, I've had a front row seat to everything that goes into picking up your entire life in one country and starting over in another.

Selling their home in Canada, Immigration paperwork, applying for Social Security numbers, Cross Border financing, officially importing an entire FLEET of vehicles and selling everything else that wouldn't fit.

And then they still had to actually GET here.

They packed up their life, grabbed friends and family to help drive and headed south. They only had 2 days to get here to make closing. It was smooth sailing until a blown trailer tire in Brunswick, Georgia along the way.

But they made it, even going on 36 hours of no sleep!

I learned A LOT in this transaction and we all did a lot of figuring things out as we went, but they finally get to call the United States home!

Watching all of this come together and being a small part of helping them get here has been pretty freaking special.

What a fun adventure.
You guys REALLY earned this one.
