I began my career in real estate in 1993 when I joined my parents, Sandy and Jerry Laine, taking overall operations and administrative duties at RE/MAX Champions in Spring, Texas. Ready to Launch
In 1994 I got my Real Estate License & Joined RE/MAX Northwest to build my own business. In 1995 I was awarded by RE/MAX of Texas, “Rookie of the Year” earning over 3 million in sales my first year in the
business. I focused on listing and marketing properties in the neighborhood where I lived and I got involved in my community by sponsoring the local school, and swim team. Many of my customers worked at the world headquarters for Compaq Computers and I built my brand around their needs. Part of being a good agent is knowing the market and being a good listener. In 1999, I saw a shift in my business. Many of my clients were moving to Austin, TX to work for Dell Computers and that involved them using a specific relocation company. So, I made the decision to move to Gary Greene, Better Homes and Gardens to be part of the relocation team and capturing all of my clients moving to Dell Computers. Through that experience, I became a real estate expert when dealing with relocation companies and helping my clients through that process. In May of 2002, after much consideration, I made the decision to come back to RE/MAX - the most recognizable Real Estate brand in the World! It was an opportunity to be able to work closely with my mentor, my mom! My dad had passed away, but my mom was still selling real estate and I wanted to be able to give back to the person that taught me everything in the business! We have never been a “designated team” but we both work the business together and we are here for each other and for our clients! With over 60 years of combined experience in the business, we are true experts in the Houston Real Estate Market with both of us earning us, “Lifetime Achievement Award” with RE/MAX!
2020 was a challenge for everyone! My daughter, Shelby Waltz, who graduated from Texas A&M University made the decision that it was a good time to get her Real Estate Licence and is now working with me as my Marketing Specialist. She is a true expert in social media, print marketing, and upcoming trends in the real estate market! So together the 3 of us are a true, DYNASTY! My passion for real estate is palpable – my clients appreciate my high energy approach, creative marketing, and strong work ethic, and I deliver top-level customer service by providing constant communication to create lucrative results. Being a part of my client’s experience of buying or selling a home is exciting and I am truly honored to be part of the process! I love Houston and enjoy showing clients what our area has to offer!
