Did you know that Springdale is in the heart of the migratory path of monarch butterflies? The city is part of a nationwide monarch butterfly habitat cultivation initiative--and just down the street from Mansion at Mill Creek - A Senior Living Community, the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History and a group called Springdale for Monarchs have been partnering with local schools to create a lifegiving milkweed flyway for the butterflies right along the Razorback Greenway. Something special is coming to Springdale to honor and respect veterans, along with the American values of liberty and freedom. The Springdale Veterans Memorial Organization - We remember in our hearts. (SVMO) has announced a design competition for a memorial endorsed by the City Council that will be located in JB Hunt Park. The group will be hosting an event for those interested in designing the memorial to learn the details of the competition. Awards will be $5,000 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place.

The boys of summer will be packing it all up for the season in just a few days. If you're a fan of ⚾️ minor league baseball ⚾️ there are just a few last dates to enjoy America's pastime in Springdale, leading up to Labor Day weekend. Our hometown Northwest Arkansas Naturals will play their final series of home games this week, and Sunday night will feature holiday fireworks at Arvest Ballpark. Tickets are a bargain and who doesn't love ballpark food? 🌭🍔🍟🍕🥨 Don't miss out!

Just take a very short drive or easy walk on the trail near Mansion at Mill Creek - A Senior Living Community and you can enjoy Ozarktober, a 3-day festival celebrating fall in the Ozarks. It kicks off with the Farm to Train Dinner Excursion on Thursday, October 17, followed by a Fall Bonfire on Friday, October 18 and concluding with Brews & Tunes on Saturday, October 19. Fall will be here before we know it!!
