As a landlord, one of the most common issues we run into is the performance of appliances. Not surprisingly, many issues can be resolved with proper cleaning and maintenance of appliances. After reading this article in Consumer Reports, I vow to incorporate this into my turn-over checklist each time we change tenants. For our tenants, I thought you might also find this interesting for maintenance as you are using dishwashers day-to-day and it might help when issues arise.

Effective Friday, December 5th, The Lofts has a new tenant! I am pleased to introduce Hannah to you and will let her share a little about herself. When you see her in the building, extend a warm welcome to her please as she is new to the area and doesn’t know a lot of people here.

Here you go:

Hello future neighbors! My name is Hannah Ordonez Webb and I’m moving from St. Louis to Springfield, MO in just a couple of days. I recently started an amazing opportunity as a sales rep at Intuitive, which is what brings me to Springfield. Intuitive is known for their minimally invasive robotic surgeries. The device I will be working with is the ION which performs biopsies in the hard to reach spots of the lungs (I encourage you to look it up, it’s pretty amazing technology- I’m always more than happy to talk about it as well!)

A little about me:

I come from a biochemistry and biotechnology background and was previously a formulation chemist. I was a bartender for 8 years and make a delicious espresso martini. I have dual citizenship in Costa Rica which is where my dad is from. I was born and raised in St. Louis, so this will be my first time moving away from home. I love to travel and enjoy good food. Please send me any good recommendations in the area!

Meet Jerick! He's our newest resident at The Lofts. Jerick just moved here this week from Chicago. We're excited to have him and hope you'll extend a friendly smile when you see him around the building @ 214 W. Phelps St.

Hey everyone! I'm Jerick, and I'll be calling the Lofts home soon – absolutely can't wait! 🎉

A little about your future neighbor: I'm a designer who's somehow managed to get lost in 45 countries (navigation isn't my strongest skill 😅), seen 6 of the 7 world wonders, and gone diving with tiger sharks (yes, they're as intimidating as they sound!). When I'm not designing user experiences, you'll find me underwater with my camera, exploring art galleries, or planning my next adventure.

This August, I'm joining the Bass Pro Shops team as a UX Designer, and as someone brand new to the area, I'm all ears for your favorite local spots! Whether it's the best coffee shop for remote work sessions, hidden photography gems, weekend adventures, or that one restaurant everyone raves about – hit me up with your recommendations!

Update: This loft has been rented as of 8-7-2025! We have a wonderful tenant coming from Chicago to enjoy the space!

Spread the word! One of our most unique lofts is going to be available for lease on August 8th! This loft has had a long-term tenant because it's such a great space. Excited to share our newest tenant @ 214 W. Phelps Street. Located on the 1st level of the building is Ray of Light Healing Studio and owner Dawn Smulski (shown below). Yesterday Dawn received the keys to her new Studio. We look forward to sharing with you more about her Studio in the next couple of weeks! Welcome Dawn! We know you will love it here as much as we do!
