What’s one piece of career advice you wish you had learned early on?

Yesterday, we hosted a student from the GO CAPS program who reached out looking to learn more about commercial and investment real estate. It was great to host an eager student, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors!

This experience reminded me of the moments that first drew me to this career and how meaningful it is to help someone else take their first steps. I am thankful for those who have taken the time to mentor me over the years and grateful for the chance to pay it forward.

The average turn over time for office buildings in the southwest submarket of Springfield is over six and a half months. I closed the sale of 4121 S. Cox Rd. in just three.

The buyer was pursuing a 1031 exchange investment, which meant timing was critical. Thanks to a referral from a trusted local connection, we were able to collaborate quickly, evaluate the opportunity, and move the process forward.

In classic Midwest fashion, it has felt like we have swung from summer to fall in the blink of an eye. With the seasons changing, I have been reflecting on some highlights from this summer.

To kickoff, I had the privilege of representing SVN | Rankin Company at the Springfield Business Journal Economic Growth Series Event as a panelist. With data suggesting sentiments of uncertainty, my clients and I have had the chance to discuss the economy’s impact on their business development.

Midsummer my wife and I had the chance to be a part of Maxon Fine Jewelry's ad campaign. Thank you to the team at Maxon for a memorable and fun experience!

Near the end of July, I was a proud sponsor at the State of the State address. Highlights included Governor Kehoe’s shoutout to Krystal Simon of Care to Learn and meeting Gabriel Cassady of 2oddballs Creative. I learned that Gabriel does PR for Vital Farms here in Springfield. Several years prior, I was able to help Vital Farms secure their property to come to Springfield – what a great full circle moment.

Enjoyed the morning at Good Morning, Springfield’s State of the Schools event, sponsored by Care to Learn.

It was exciting to hear about Springfield Public Schools's accomplishments over the past year and their inspiring vision for the future.

It was also a great opportunity to show up for Care to Learn, where my wife serves as a board member (yes, we did wear our CTL green). Care to Learn shared an incredible update: they've met over 4 million needs for students across Missouri.

I’m glad to have the opportunity to work with the SPS school system in their continued growth.
