👩🍳 Employee Spotlight: Meet Our Chef Maria!
Originally from Fountain Hills, Arizona, Maria discovered her passion for cooking at a young age, often preparing meals for her family and learning from loved ones during holiday gatherings. She pursued culinary training and built an impressive career, working in restaurants, country clubs, and resorts before becoming a sous chef and later managing the food and beverage department at a golf course.
After moving to Missouri with her husband 2½ years ago, she found her home away from home at The Preston! Her favorite part of the job is creating daily specials and getting to know our residents, learning their favorite foods and incorporating their recommendations into the menu. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs. We’re so grateful to have her as part of The Preston family! 💛
