💙 WHAT A DAY FOR SOUTHWEST MISSOURI WCR! 💙

We spent a full day at the Missouri REALTORS® Fall Conference and we’re coming home excited, encouraged, and maybe just a little competitive. 😂

First, we were incredibly excited to receive an Enrichment Grant for our Southwest Missouri Women’s Council of REALTORS® chapter! We are so thankful for the investment in our network and cannot wait to put it to work. 🙌

AND we took home recognition for the MOST GROWTH during the WCR Ignite Challenge! 🎉

📈 Our chapter grew by 21%!

TWENTY ONE PERCENT!! And the best part?

We are just getting started. 💙

We also had the opportunity to hear from the Women’s Council National President, and one of her slides was packed with reminders we’re bringing home with us:

💙 Say no to the energy of busy.
💙 Be present.
💙 Find harmony, not perfect balance.
💙 Choose what deserves your YES.
💙 Encouragement is oxygen to the soul.
💙 Leadership is the responsibility to see others rise.
💙 Leave every place and every position better than you found it.

And this one really stuck with us:

“The Power of YOU is what becomes better because you were there.”

That is the kind of Women’s Council we want to continue building in Southwest Missouri. A place where people show up, relationships are built, leaders are developed, and we leave things better than we found them.

Of course, we ended the evening with WCR Trivia, where we would like the official record to show that AT ONE POINT we were in first place. 😂🏆 We will not be taking questions about what happened after that.

Now we’re heading home with new ideas, new connections, and a lot to talk about.

We are already looking forward to getting together and collaborating on what 2027 can look like for Southwest Missouri Women’s Council.

21% growth was pretty exciting. But we’re just getting started. 💙

🇺🇸 Our 9/11 First Responder Appreciation Event made the news! 💙

We are so thankful to KY3 for joining us during our day of delivering meals and helping us spread the word about why this event means so much to Southwest Missouri Women’s Council of REALTORS®.

Our President Elect, Lina Robertson, had the opportunity to speak with KY3 about our event and the privilege of honoring first responders throughout Greene, Christian, and Webster Counties.

While delivering a meal may feel like a small gesture, having the opportunity to personally say thank you to the firefighters, police officers, sheriff’s departments, EMS, 911 operators, dispatchers, and other first responders who serve our communities is something we are incredibly grateful for. ❤️🤍💙

Thank you, KY3, for helping us shine a little more light on the people who deserve the recognition and for giving Women’s Council the opportunity to share what serving our community looks like to us.

And a special shoutout to our President Elect, Lina Robertson, for representing Southwest Missouri WCR so well! 💙👏

We are proud of this event, proud of our members and volunteers who showed up to serve, and incredibly thankful we were able to spread the word about honoring those who serve us every day. 🇺🇸

In total, more than 2,000 emergency workers shared in the deliveries.

🇺🇸 WCR’S 9/11 FIRST RESPONDER APPRECIATION EVENT 🇺🇸

What an incredible day and an even greater honor. ❤️🤍💙

For our 9/11 First Responder Appreciation Event, Southwest Missouri Women’s Council of REALTORS® had the privilege of visiting first responders throughout Greene, Christian, and Webster Counties to personally say THANK YOU and provide a meal as a small token of our appreciation.

With the support of our amazing sponsors Price Cutter, Hy-Vee, and Sixty5 Storage we were able to provide meals to first responders across all three counties. 🚒🚑🚓

What seems like such a small gesture truly felt like such a HUGE honor.

To the firefighters, police officers, sheriff’s departments, EMS, 911 operators, dispatchers, and first responders who serve our communities every single day, we thank you.

Thank you for answering the call.
Thank you for protecting our communities.
Thank you for the sacrifices you and your families make.
And thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve YOU today.

September 11 is a day we will never forget. It is also a day that reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the men and women who choose to serve others.

That is exactly why this event means so much to our WCR family.

💙 WCR MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 💙

Meet Kelsey McQuerter with AMAX Real Estate!

Kelsey is coming up on 3 years in real estate, serving clients throughout Southwest Missouri, and we're going to brag on her for a minute because she deserves it. 💙

Since getting involved with Women's Council, Kelsey has jumped in head first and quickly become a HUGE asset to our organization. She is one of those people who shows up, gets involved, helps where she's needed, and brings great energy with her.

And THAT is exactly what Women's Council is all about. 👏

One of Kelsey's favorite things about real estate is that no two transactions are the same. She's constantly learning, being challenged, and kept on her toes. But what she loves most are the relationships she builds and the trust her clients place in her.

Kelsey joined Women's Council because she wanted to meet more agents and affiliates throughout Southwest Missouri while getting involved with education, events, and opportunities to serve our community.

Meet Gerrie Moore with Gerrie Moore Group at Keller Williams Tri Lakes!

Gerrie brings 20 years of real estate experience to our Women's Council community, serving clients throughout Springfield, Branson, Ozark, Nixa, Reeds Spring, Branson West, Kimberling City, Forsyth, and even into Omaha and Harrison, Arkansas. 🏡

After two decades in the business, her favorite part of real estate is still what matters most: the relationships.

Gerrie loves building relationships that last a lifetime while helping her clients achieve their real estate goals and dreams. 💙

Her Women's Council story goes all the way back to 2014, and we love how it started...

Her mentors, LaNora Kay and Kathy Clark, told her to join. So she did. 😂

More than a decade later, Gerrie continues to value everything Women's Council brings to the table, including networking, leadership, education, referrals, community involvement, friendships, and professional growth.

Apparently when Gerrie decides to jump into something, she REALLY jumps in.

Gerrie's story is also such a great example of the impact mentorship can have in our industry. Someone encouraged her to get involved with Women's Council back in 2014, and that one invitation helped open the door to years of relationships, leadership, growth, and connection.

So here's your reminder: Invite someone. Encourage someone. Mentor someone. You never know where one invitation might lead. 💙

💙 WCR MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 💙

Meet Tammie Tucker with A R Wilson, REALTORS®!

Tammie brings an incredible 37 YEARS of real estate experience to our Southwest Missouri Women's Council family! 🏡👏

She serves the greater Springfield area along with lake properties, but after nearly four decades in the business, her favorite part is still the people.

Tammie loves working with past clients who have become friends over the years, and she especially loves helping first time homebuyers who don't think homeownership is possible discover that it actually can be. She says seeing that happen is one of the most rewarding parts of what she does. 💙

And after 37 years in real estate, you might think Tammie has this whole leadership thing figured out. But one of the reasons she joined Women's Council was to continue becoming a better leader.

We LOVE that.

Because leadership isn't about reaching a point where you're done learning. It's about continuing to grow, build relationships, share your experience, and help the people around you grow too.

And speaking of getting to know Tammie...

Meet Cindy Slettevold with Great American Title, our Strategic Partner Director for Southwest Missouri Women's Council of REALTORS®!

Cindy brings more than 30 years of experience in title insurance sales and marketing, and if you know Cindy, you know she has built her career around something much bigger than title work.

She connects people. She serves people. And she is always looking for ways to bring solutions. 💙

Her favorite part of working in the real estate industry is being a partner and resource to REALTORS® and lenders, which makes her such a natural fit for Women's Council.

Cindy joined WCR to connect with, learn from, and be a resource for amazing women, and she has already stepped up to serve as our Strategic Partner Director. We are so thankful for her willingness to get involved and help strengthen the relationships between our members and Strategic Partners.

We're also incredibly grateful to Great American Title for being one of our Strategic Partners and continuing to support Southwest Missouri Women's Council!

Lina brings an incredible 26 years of real estate experience to Women's Council. One of her favorite parts of the business is helping first time homebuyers navigate the process and seeing the excitement that comes with owning their very first home. 🏡

Lina joined Women's Council because she saw it as a challenge and an opportunity to give back to the industry that she has spent so many years serving. That willingness to step up, help others, and continue growing makes us especially excited about what's ahead.

In 2027, Lina will step into the role of President, and we cannot wait to see her leadership, experience, and ideas help shape the next chapter of Southwest Missouri WCR! 💙

Next up, meet Cassie Torp with AMAX Real Estate, our current Events Director for Southwest Missouri Women's Council of REALTORS®!

Cassie has been in real estate for 7 years, serving clients throughout Southwest Missouri. Her favorite part of real estate is hard to narrow down to just one thing. It's the people she gets to meet, the variety that comes with the job, getting to be part of some of life's biggest moments, and most importantly, having the opportunity to serve others. 🏡💙

Cassie's path to Women's Council started a little differently. She was asked by Lina Robertson to step in when WCR needed someone to focus on marketing and social media. Since that's something she genuinely enjoys, it caught her attention. She jumped in, got involved, and today serves as our Events Director.

Which is also a great reminder: you don't have to know exactly where Women's Council will take you when you get involved. Sometimes you simply start with something you're good at and see where it leads!

Meet Billie Jacoby with Murney Associates, our current Past President of Southwest Missouri Women's Council of REALTORS®!

Billie brings an incredible 30 YEARS of real estate experience to our network, serving Springfield and communities within roughly a 30 mile radius. 🏡

After three decades in the business, her favorite part is still what matters most: meeting clients and helping them accomplish their goals of buying or selling a home.

Billie's Women's Council story started years ago when Louie Layton simply asked her to join. One invitation turned into years of involvement, relationships, leadership, and eventually serving as President of our local network.
