Do you own land in this focal area? If so, funding may be available to protect your land with a conservation easement!
While all of Tennessee is worth protecting, some areas of the state face greater challenges amid rapid development and an ever-changing climate. Enter the Ridges to Rivers Regional Conservation Partnership Program, or RCPP. Led by the Tennessee Aquarium, the RCPP funds solutions to natural resource challenges—like the downstream sedimentation that threatens the laurel dace.
This map shows Tennessee’s RCPP focal area, chosen to help save the laurel dace from extinction. As partners in this effort, TennGreen Land Conservancy aims to protect land in this region with conservation easements, and some properties may qualify for funding assistance.
If you're a landowner in Bledsoe, Cumberland, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, Meigs, Rhea, or Sequatchie counties, please reach out to our experts at [email protected] or (615) 329-4441 to learn more about your conservation options. 😊
