Today is a VERY special day around here—our newest Brand Ambassador turns 9! 🥳🎂💕

If you know Addy, you know there is a whole lot of personality packed into this little girl. 😂 She is creative, spunky, funny, thoughtful, kind-hearted and incredibly loving. She adores animals, has a wonderfully imaginative mind, and sees the world from a perspective that I absolutely love.

I’ve loved this girl from the very first moment I held her, and getting to watch her grow into the sweet, confident, one-of-a-kind little person she is becoming has been one of my greatest joys as Aunt NaNa. ❤️

And now, somehow, I’ve convinced her to add Brand Ambassador to her résumé. 😂🏡

I am SO excited to have Addy joining me for some of my real estate adventures. You’ll be seeing her pop up in house tours, videos and other fun content—and I have a feeling she may end up being much more popular around here than I am. 😂

Most importantly, though, today is about celebrating HER.

21 years ago this month, I had my very first real estate closing…and my first client happened to be my brother. 😂🏡

Back in September 2005, I had no idea where this career would take me, how many wonderful people I’d meet, or how many families I’d have the privilege of helping along the way.

A lot has changed in 21 years (including real estate, hairstyles and probably that house 😂), but one thing hasn’t: I’m still incredibly grateful every time someone trusts me to help them buy or sell a home.

21 years later, I still love what I do. ❤

And I suppose my brother deserves a little credit for getting this whole thing started.

A little over a week ago, I had the opportunity to attend “Let’s Talk Real Estate” with U.S. Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski at Illinois Realtors headquarters. 🏡

Being a REALTOR® is about more than helping people buy and sell homes. It also means advocating for private property rights, affordable housing and homeownership opportunities in the communities we serve.

I believe it’s important for REALTORS® to be part of the conversation with our elected officials at the local, state and federal levels—and I appreciate opportunities like this to listen, learn and make sure the issues affecting homeowners and our industry have a voice.
