She was born and raised in a small town in rural Texas where they play 6-man football, and the graduating classes are rarely larger than 17 students.

She attended college at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX and holds a BS in Psychology. She and her husband moved to the Birmingham area sight unseen in 2011 while she was expecting their first child. Jana and her husband only expected to live in Alabama for a few years, but quickly fell in love with the area. They now live happily with their two boys, three dogs, & three cats on a little farm outside of Birmingham. In her free time Jana loves to garden, play with her animals, create content, and spend time with her family and loved ones.

Two decades of love, growth, laughter, and lessons. Weā€™ve built a life thatā€™s full of chaos, comfort, and a whole lot of animals ā€” two amazing boys, 4 cats, 4 dogs, and the sweet memories of 3 cats and 1 dog whoā€™ve crossed the rainbow bridge. šŸ¾šŸ’•

Weā€™ve weathered storms, celebrated wins, and held each other through all the in-betweens. It hasnā€™t always been easy, but itā€™s always been worth it.

Friday Progress Wrap-Up: Big Steps Forward!

This week has been a whirlwind of progress, and I couldnā€™t be more excited about how things are coming together on the lake house project! Hereā€™s whatā€™s been happening:

āœ… Met with the Highland Lake inspector, and all permits have officially come through!
āœ… Walked the property with contractors and subcontractors every day this week, making decisions and keeping things on track.
āœ… Purchased the tile, bathtub, and vanityā€”getting one step closer to seeing the design come to life!
āœ… Locked down a contractor for the new deckā€”this space is going to be amazing.
āœ… Secured a roofer to install a brand new roof!
āœ… Powered through a painful electrical walk-through (shoutout to Electrum, they were fantastic!), but the houseā€™s old wiring? Not so much. Thankfully, we have a solid plan to get everything fixed and up to code.

Itā€™s been a busy week, but weā€™re making great strides toward turning this house into someoneā€™s dream home. Stay tuned for more updates!
