We’re dedicated to creating a family-friendly and beautifully colorful environment using our farm-fresh, American-grown local flowers. Back in 2007, I formed The Home Staging Source, one of the first companies in WNY to offer real estate staging services. Around that time, I moved back to our century-old family farm, operating as an active vegetable farm. A bonus to farm life was the ability to gr

ow unique cut flowers in nutrient-rich soil for myself and staged properties. I started putting out buckets of surplus flowers at our roadside vegetable stand… mostly gladiolus, zinnias, and sunflowers. My flowers were selling out, and orders were coming in. My spring seed order became more intentional. I studied floral industry trends, learned what thrived in our climate, on our farm, and became a Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener. A national call for AMERICAN GROWN flowers was growing. I started to get requests for showers and weddings. Eventually, I decided to open my field to allow people to pick what they liked. The visceral reaction to the field was stunning. In 2015 my business certificate was amended to Ellen K Design, allowing me to pursue flower farming while continuing staging. My 200′ of flowers has grown to over three and a half acres of public u-pick flowers, the only one around. The 2021 garden will have over 250+ unique seed packs of flowers, a weekly CSA (community supported agriculture) flower subscription service, wedding and event flowers and of course we’ll continue to offer a variety of home grown veggies. During the off-season, I continue to offer real estate staging services through our sister company, The Home Staging Source, where I prepare homes for sale and offer design services for the Western New York area. Many things determine the bloom times of the flowers we grow. Sunshine, rain, and weather are in nature's contro; pleasee be aware that farm-fresh blooms come on Nature's timetable. Happy 40th birthday to the girl who made me a mom, one of the kindest and most beautiful souls inside and out.

Jess— you’re steady, reliable, and organized in a way that makes controlled chaos look effortless. Your love for Jesus shows in the way you treat people with grace, generosity, and compassion, and your uplifting, supportive nature makes anyone who knows you better for it.

You teach me something every day, and it’s amazing how the roles shift as we get older. I’m so proud of the woman you are.

Today is the last day in April, and we’re down to the final openings in our colorectal cancer awareness give☀️way. We extended our efforts into April so more people had the chance to take their screening step — completing it or getting it set up.

To support Lindsay campaign and the importance of early detection, we’re offering six complimentary fall photo‑shoot packages to anyone taking that step. No private details required. Four of the six spots are already filled. All details are on our website homepage — link in bio.

Although we’ve done several Cologuards in the past, today I took the step to schedule our first full‑blown colonoscopies for Jon and me. If you’re making a good‑faith effort to take care of business, don’t be shy about reaching out after today to see if any spots remain. ♡

Did you catch the sky or the moon last night? Spectacular. And here we go…
Clear skies + mid 30s are forecasted for Thursday and Friday morning — this could be the big one. If you need flowers for the weekend, Wednesday (tomorrow, 10/8) is your best bet. The field is still full — come grab the blooms before the frost does. The appointment calendar is showing available times for tomorrow only. If you’ve got an appointment or photo shoot scheduled beyond tomorrow, you’ll likely receive a notification with your options after we’ve assessed the damage.

The great eucalyptus harvest is here! Bouquets are $20, petites (under 12”) are $10. Available for farm pick-up while supplies last. DM or text with Venmo info. We’ve got Silver Dollar, Baby Blue, and Heart Leaf Mallee. Eucalyptus is perfect for decor—arrangements, wreaths, showers, and DIY. Fresh or dried, it’s beautiful. Let me know if you’d like some!
