What makes a great real estate agent?There are probably many things we could add to the list. Yes, knowing the market is key. I could write a book about this one... if you want to sell your house or especially find property in our area.... why hire real estate firms from outside of the area who do not know our area and won't take the time to learn it? I actually get calls from out of town real estate agents who have listed property here and want me to show it for them. ??? yes....it happens. I would say you are better off choosing a local real estate agent. Being with a bigger firm doesn't mean you will get better service.

And they definitely don't know the best fishing spots!
