Crock Pot French Dip Sandwiches!

Make it the "St. Louis" way by substituting the provolone cheese for provel cheese!😎

Crock Pot French Dip Sandwiches

Slow-Cooked Crock Pot French Dip Sandwiches with Melty Provolone & Au Jus

Ingredients:

3 lb beef chuck roast

1 large onion, thinly sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups beef broth

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp dried rosemary

½ tsp black pepper

6 hoagie rolls

6 slices provolone cheese

2 tbsp butter (for toasting rolls)

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

Place sliced onion and garlic in the bottom of your crock pot.

Season chuck roast with pepper and place on top of onions.

In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, thyme, and rosemary. Pour over the roast.

Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours, or until beef is tender and shreds easily.

Remove beef and shred with two forks. Strain cooking liquid to serve as au jus.

Toast hoagie rolls with butter until golden.

Layer shredded beef and provolone cheese inside rolls. Place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.

Serve with warm au jus for dipping. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
