Our study, The Hidden Housing Crisis: Home Repair in St. Louis County, explores the need for home repairs in our community and why preserving existing homes matters.

St. Louis REALTORS® was proud to participate in Yesterday's Advancing Affordable Housing Symposium, presented by the Missouri Statewide Independent Living Council!

2026 President Sam Hall joined housing, policy, and community leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities surrounding affordable housing in the St. Louis region.

Sam also moderated a panel discussion on the 21st Century Road to Housing Act, featuring Elayne Weiss, Senior Policy Advisor for Federal Financing and Housing with the National Association of REALTORS® and Bruce Ladd, Deputy Regional Administrator with HUD Gov.

St. Louis REALTORS® member Matt Becker also spoke at the symposium, representing Missouri REALTORS® and contributing to the conversation surrounding housing affordability.

We're grateful for the opportunity to be part of these important conversations and work alongside organizations committed to addressing our region's housing needs.

U.S. existing-home sales fell 2% from the previous month and 1.2% from a year earlier to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.98 million, the first reading below 4 million since June 2025, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
