CDI is proud to have played a key role in the ACEC Illinois award-winning IL 13 Crab Orchard expansion project, improving safety, mobility, and connectivity between Marion and Carbondale.

As the lead consultant for the final phase of this multi-phase program, our team helped expand IL 13 from four to six lanes, enhance intersections, extend the Crab Orchard Greenway multi-use path, and deliver innovative solutions that improved traffic flow and accessibility.

Through proactive problem-solving, technical expertise, and close collaboration with project partners, CDI helped keep the project moving forward while maintaining the highest standards of safety and design quality. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this project a success!

We kicked off the 2026 FIFA World Cup the best way we know how, by bringing the team together for some World Cup fun!

From friendly competition to great snacks and plenty of soccer talk, it was a fun way to celebrate the start of the tournament. We're excited to follow the action over the next few weeks and see which teams come out on top.
