We found at great front door for the Waldron project. 🙌. Typically I am a fan of leaving the orignal stained glass but in this case, the door had sky blue sidelights that just made you go like this 🤔🤔🤔 when you looked at them. Perhaps more like ... 😖. So! Status update: Got news that the building permit has officially be approved! Time to start framing out that basement so we can get an inspector out there! 🎉.

I love live edge wood, it brings such character and uniqueness to a home. 🥰.

I found a guy off of Facebook market place who had a cherry log he was willing to cut up for us to sprinkle live edge throughout the Waldron project.

My dad let me know that Cherry with an oil based clear coat will give me the look I’m going for so I’m just waiting for these suckers to dry out a bit before I can stain them.

While Darryl is over at the Waldron project working on “the guts” of the house, you know, all the boring things that are important buttttt also get covered up, I am putting the finishing touches on the kitchen design.

We made some great progress on the HVAC system this weekend! 🤗.

Out with the broiler and big ole radiators in every room. In with the sleek high efficiency HVAC with shiny new ducts. 😍.

Yesterday made great progress on the garage at the Waldron project.

✅... Old roof completely removed
✅... New roof in place

While we were up there we discovered that the gable needed a bit more TLC than we thought; so we ended up reframing it. I feel like that is the story to every project... once you get into it, there is always a bit more than you initially anticipated.

As the self appointed purchasing officer at A.Felk Homes, I just get so excited when I find great deals on items that will fit into our design.

Check out the deal on these bathroom faucets I found at . They were $129 on sale for $58, and the bathroom accessories (which before doing this, I had no idea could be so expensive) originally $49 on sale for $29. 🥳.

I also bumped into some more amazing tile at ! Couldn’t pass it up.
