Our Assisted Loving program connects people 65+ in our community—whether living in nursing/assisted living homes or personal residences—with the senior pets currently residing at HSSM. Many of these individuals long for the companionship of a loving pet but may not have the means for full pet ownership.
Through this program, one of our sweet senior dogs or cats joins them as a permanent foster, while HSSM continues to provide veterinary care and food. This partnership gives older adults the joy of companionship while giving our most overlooked pets the forever homes they deserve.
