Lisa Nanni, Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty

Lisa Nanni, Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty Hi! I'm Lisa, a mom, a no-pressure, education-forward Realtor, former teacher and Hallmark movie writer. How do I work? What are my hobbies?

I proudly serve Staunton • Waynesboro • Augusta County • Shenandoah Valley, VA. I'm also the co-host of MELISSA & LISA WITH EXP REALTY on You Tube. I didn't start my career in real estate, but I believe it's made me a better Realtor. Achieving goals in Hollywood and higher ed has broadened my perspective, and given me applicable, transferable skills in communication, sales, and education that I em

ploy in my work today to help my home buyers and sellers. I have a collaborative mindset, clear and flexible communication style, and overall strong work ethic. Working as a college professor and pitching projects to Hollywood has taught me how to break down complex concepts and organize them in a way that's simple, clear and unified. This same approach helps my clients understand the buying or selling process, so they can feel empowered to make informed choices. I'm passionate about creative writing and love the challenge of working in different forms and genres. Sometimes this hobby monetizes, sometimes it doesn't. I've been published a number of times, over 25 of my plays have been produced on stages all over the country, but I'm best known for my Hallmark movies HOLIDAY FOR HEROES and CHRISTMAS HOMECOMING. Most recently I'm a contributing author for the anthology, EVERY DAY A LITTLE DEATH: CRIME FICTION INSPIRED BY THE SONGS OF STEPHEN SONDHEIM that was published in March 2025. I'm excited to be collaborating with the owner of Staunton Books and Tea. We're doing a book event in June. I'm also a passionate home cook and baker. When I was a kid, I had an interest in cooking - and even won a contest. To me, a from-scratch meal is synonymous with "home." I've taken my hobby a step further by creating a Facebook group for like-minded people in the region called Shenandoah Home and Hearth. It's your feel-good, cozy corner of Facebook where home cooks, bakers, and food lovers across the Shenandoah Valley come to share recipes, kitchen inspiration, and the heart of local living. It's not a hobby, but I've left the best for last...my friends and family! I love meaningful conversations with people I love - and if there's coffee involved, it's even better! I'm always happy when my daughter gives me an animated recap of her school day. I love hearing the peals of laughter when my husband weaves one of his tales to a group of our friends. Living here in the Valley, and relishing these moments with friends and family, is sweeter than any Hallmark movie I could ever write. I'd be delighted if you'd join me for a cup of coffee, so I can get to know you, and help guide you on the path, whether it be buying a new home or selling-because this process is more than just a business transaction. It's the next exciting chapter of your story.

If you've been wondering about all the construction activity near Staunton's Wharf District, here's a quick update:

The Byers Street tunnel repair project is actually running ahead of schedule thanks to favorable spring weather. While crews wait for concrete work on Byers Street to cure, they'll begin repairs on the New Street Tunnel starting June 29.

The good news? Byers Street is still on track to reopen in mid-August.

These repairs may be inconvenient in the short term, but they're addressing critical infrastructure beneath Byers Street, New Street, and West Johnson Street to help ensure the long-term safety and stability of our downtown.

As someone who spends a lot of time downtown, I know construction can be frustrating. But it's encouraging to see the project moving forward and staying on schedule.
