Finally, I was able to move into my new home! It has taken years to accomplish this task! I am now the proud owner of this lovely split level (kind of) ranch which has been totally transformed into a “Moroccan/Spanish/Mexican” house from the inside. It is a four (maybe five) bedroom, three full bathroom dwelling, located in Vista/South Salem/Lewisboro, New York. Just an hour from hectic New York City. Right on the border line to Connecticut, this is the place where foxes, deer and an occasional bear roam. Thinking of transforming the house into an Airbnb in early 2026. A wonderful evening was held with German artist Cornelia Thomsen, sponsored by the Friends of Freiburg University in New York City this past Friday. Cornelia’s work has been acquired by prestigious institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among others.

It has been a “few” years since I walked through the doors of my alma mater, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Reflecting on this time, it feels strange to consider how much the world has changed.

We no longer have the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia is no more, and Germany is reunited, to name just a few significant transformations.

What will the next 40 years bring?
