Drivers on I-95 already know, but now it's official.

The morning southbound commute through Stamford has been named the busiest interstate corridor in the U.S., according to the latest survey from the traffic data and analytics company INRIX.

"Taking that road every weekday during the peak hour would result in a driver losing about 150 hours to traffic congestion in 2024 alone," the survey concluded.

A new neighborhood is growing on the edge of Hartford's downtown.

“You look at the Flat Iron, Arrowhead building — everybody was leaving, it was abandoned, another empty block,” Fernando Betancourt, executive director of the San Juan Center, said. “Now we’re reversing that cycle, and we’re creating a vibrant community.”

Construction is expected to last 18 months and when completed, 75 percent of the new apartment units will be rented at market rate and 25 percent set aside to be rented as affordable housing.
