Many people think Realtors simply list homes and show properties to buyers, but our work extends far beyond the transaction.
Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors Spring Business Meetings in Harrisburg, where Realtors from across the state came together to collaborate, learn, and advocate for our industry.
Events like these allow us to network with fellow professionals, build relationships with agents in neighboring markets, and exchange ideas that help us better serve our clients. We also participate in forums that discuss important industry changes, including updates involving the forms, contracts, and tools we use every day in our business.
Just as important are meetings with legislators on Capitol Hill, where Realtors have the opportunity to share insights on housing issues and advocate for policies that support homeowners, property rights, and strong communities.
Networking opportunities also extend to fundraising events that support RPAC (the REALTORS® Political Action Committee). RPAC helps support candidates and elected officials who understand and promote issues important to real estate, private property rights, and homeownership. Through RPAC, Realtors have a voice in the legislative process that directly impacts our clients and communities.
Being a Realtor means continually learning, building relationships, staying informed, and advocating for the future of real estate—not just selling homes.
